Homosexuality In A Major Soap Opera

Luke and Noah, Daytime's Most Famous Gay Couple, Have Sex

The breakthrough scene on As the World Turns begins at about 3:03. Of course what we see is simply the before and after, but for a show that took seventh months and an extended Internet campaign from fans for producers to have its two main characters share a kiss, the sex, or evidence of it, is a revelation.

I don't watch soap operas, so I usually couldn't care less what happens on them. However, this development represents further progress in mainstream American acceptance of homosexuality. So way to go As the World Turns producers, keep up the... uh... good work. I guess. Well, at least keep up the inclusive work--that's probably more accurate.
